The ISKCON International Life Patron program was introduced by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada in the early 70’s as he wanted everyone to become part of the ISKCON family. He invited everyone across the world to receive Krishna conscious association by staying in ISKCON temples as they travel, so that they can easily attend the uplifting spiritual programs.

Life Patron Membership! What does it mean?

1. Seva
You receive a great opportunity to serve the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and thus express your gratitude to Him. The Supreme Lord is the ultimate giver and receiver.

2. Patronship Card
You will receive a centrally issued hologram International patronship card with your photo and patron number along with an updated comprehensive list of ‘ISKCON centers around the World’.

3. Accomodation
You will be welcome to take advantage of the spiritual atmosphere in any official ISKCON center, all over the world, for three days each year. Room maintenance charges may apply in some centers, and it is subject to the availability of rooms designated for Life Patrons and prior confirmed reservation. Accommodation will be in a single room for the patron, spouse, children below 18 years of age, and dependent parents above 60 years of age. If the card holder is not personally present then availing of this facility is subject to the discretion of the hosting centre.

4. Meals
Whether or not you stay overnight, you are welcome to avail free prasadam/ Food in every ISKCON center for three days per year, twice daily. This is for temple resident meals only, as per the normal service timings for such meals, and does not include restaurant meals or snacks sold on temple premises.

5. Spiritual Knowledge
Make your home into a transcendental library with spiritual books.

6. Tax Benefit
Donors in India may avail tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Additional information:

Who Can Enroll: Anyone at least 18 years of age can be enrolled. However, the underage child of an existing life patron can become a life patron upon payment of existing full fees. There are no restrictions on citizenship, country of residence, etc.

Book Set: After your entire payment is received and credited in the ISKCON bank account, the donor or any person authorized by the donor may collect the book set from the temple. There would be an extra charge to send these items to the patron’s address.

Patron Card: You can expect your card to arrive within one month by courier or registered postal services within India. Outside India, extra mailing charge is applicable. Card is not transferable to anyone else. However, a surviving spouse of an expired Life Patron is entitled to free enrollment upon completion of the enrollment process. If later you shift to another location and want to associate yourself with another ISKCON center there then you may contact the enrolling center to have your name added to the other center’s mailing list.

Visiting ISKCON Centers: Please wait for the arrival of your card before contacting other centers for accommodation facility. Then you can directly contact any official ISKCON center and confirm your accommodation through phone or email. You will need to provide your card number and other relevant details pertaining to your accommodation.

How much is the donation?

Total donation: One time non-refundable payment Rs.35,555/- only. No renewal fees. You can donate through cash, demand draft, cheque or via bank transfer (NEFT)
Cheque or demand draft must be in the name of “ISKCON”. Please note that 80G tax exemption is not available for cash donations. For, further assistance please feel free to contact on 9530402766.

Installment Facility: Donors unable to submit the entire donation at a time can provide 3 instalment postdated account payee cheques for the entire amount, clear-able within twelve months.

Please use it to send your filled-up enrollment form, cheques, photos, and other relevant documents only. Do not send cash inside the envelope.

Note

Acceptance of Life Patron Membership application is at the sole discretion of Temple management. Incase an applicant does not meet the required criteria, or the temple management feels its not aapropriate to grant the Life Patron Membership, the management reserves the right to reject the application, without assigning any reasons thereof, with full money being refunded to the applicant.

Paying of the fee towards Life Patron Membership does not automatically grant the member the right to become a member. This is only a pre-condition for acceptance of the same. Incase other criterias are not met, the application can be rejected.
